<![CDATA[Dear OCCD Forum community,

The City of Columbus is launching an online portal for citizens and developers to apply for residential tax abatements in Community Reinvestment Areas. To date we have relied on a paper system for applications. We are launching our new software in the coming weeks.

We are looking for insights and lessons learned on how best to roll out a new system like this. Some particular questions we are asking include:

- How long of a "soft launch" is advisable before a more solid / more public launch?

- What are the best ways you have found to disseminate the information on the new system (public notices? Manual outreach to frequent program participants?)

- Did you find public training sessions for the wider community to be a valuable use of time?

- Any other lessons learned or best practices when launching a new online system such as this

Thank you in advance,
